What is Paintless Dent Repair?
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is an environmentally-friendly repair method that restores a vehicle’s body to factory-like condition in a fraction of the time and a fraction of the cost. PDR can be used to remove dings and dents from vehicles, as well as body creases and hail damage.
The technique to repair dents requires specialist skill and patience!
The PDR process involves 4 steps:
Step 1 – Assess the Damage and determine if the PDR system will work on your damage.
Step 2 – Assess whether there is access to the dent. Depending on your dent it may be necessary to gain access to the back side of the dent so panels and some car parts may need to be removed. If it is not possible to gain access underneath it may be necessary to restore to a glue pulling method from the topside of the panel.
Step 3 – Light the Dent. Using purpose built lighting we light the dent to get an exact profile and to enable a precision repair.
Step 4 – Apply Slow Pressure to the Dent. This is where the precision and expertise of our training and experience comes into play. Special tools are used on the back side of the car paneling to carefully massage the exterior metal back to its original position.
